Paradox of Our Time

Proverb 13.7

"Some pretend to be rich, yet have nothing;
   others pretend to be poor, yet have great wealth."

The paradox of our time in history is that

we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers;

wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints;

we buy more, but enjoy it less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families;
more conveniences, but less time;

WeĦŻve learned how to make a living, but not a life;
weĦŻve added years to life, not life to years.
WeĦŻve been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor.

These are days of two incomes, but more divorces;
of fancier houses, but broken homes.
It is a time when there is much in the show window
and nothing in the stockroom. (Anonymous)

This is a time to think,

if your name is written in the book of life?
Just know that the only way to go is Christ's way!!

(see John 14.6)
